Whiist 0.6

I’ve just uploaded the latest version of Whiist, version 0.6.

Most of the changes in this version are related to improving the current functionality and interface, though there are a few new bits.

From the changelog:

  • New folder picker dialog
  • Added WHS “Look and Feel” to the UI
  • Added Right-Click menu to Websites/Links
  • Added option to create robots.txt to prevent spiders
  • Can now choose/modify icons for local links
  • Split controls into a separate assembly.
  • Various bug fixes.

Enjoy!

You should make this donationware and add a paypal icon to your website. I’d sent a few dollars your way. Thanks for your efforts.

You did not mention this specifically in your change log…is Ver 0.6 compatible with RC1??

  3. Andrew says:

Apologies – Yes, 0.6 is compatible with RC1, and RC1 only. It will not function on the CTP or Beta 2 releases.

Added and removed website link on public page, de entry is still added. Is this hard to correct ?

Whiist is a great add-in and my in-laws love being able to view my pictures from afar. I have run into a weird issue with one folder though. Some of the pics will not display larger than the thumbnails for some reason. I’ve tried removing and adding them back but it doesnt seem to work. Check out the Baby Evan folder..you’ll see what I mean. Other than this weird bug I am 100% impressed!

    Glad you’re enjoying it!

The current solution for adding photo albums is rather temporary. In future versions I hope to offer more features in this area.

  7. Greetings Andrew,
The work you’ve done on this add-in is tremedous. It offers an additional level of power and ease to what is shaping up to be a tremendous product from Microsoft. I’ve enjoyed my Beta testing time with WHS so far and I’m really looking forward to the final release. Your Whiist add-in is absolutely essential!

    Thanks,
    Jeff Mitchell
